This Privacy Policy explains how Pintera (“Pintera”, “we”, “us”, or “the App”), an independent software project developed under the KYERE brand, handles information when you use the Pintera Chrome extension and its integration with the official Pinterest API.

1. About Pintera

Pintera is a Pinterest analytics and research tool for content creators.

The App uses the official Pinterest API to provide analytics and research features for Pinterest accounts authorized by the user.

Pintera is an independent application and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Pinterest.

2. How Pintera works

When you connect a Pinterest account, Pintera uses Pinterest OAuth to obtain the permissions necessary to access the Pinterest API on your behalf.

Depending on the permissions granted and the capabilities of the Pinterest API, the App may request and display information such as:

• Pinterest account information;
• Pins and boards;
• Pin performance metrics;
• account-level analytics;
• impressions;
• saves;
• Pin clicks;
• outbound clicks;
• other analytics and information made available through the authorized Pinterest API.

The information obtained through the Pinterest API is used to provide the requested functionality to the Pinterest account owner who authorized the App.

Pintera does not request or collect your Pinterest password, session cookies, or other Pinterest login credentials.

3. Information We Process

3.1 Pinterest API Data

When you authorize Pintera, the App may process information made available through the Pinterest API, including account information, Pins, boards, and available analytics and performance metrics.

The exact information available to Pintera depends on the permissions granted to the App and the capabilities of the Pinterest API.

3.2 OAuth Access Token

The current experimental version of Pintera may store the Pinterest OAuth access token locally in the Chrome extension's storage so that the App can make authorized API requests on your behalf.

The access token is not intentionally transmitted to or stored on Pintera's servers.

Pintera does not request or store your Pinterest password.

3.3 Extension Settings

The extension may store local settings required for its operation, such as:

• language preferences;
• interface settings;
• connection status;
• other local configuration.

4. How We Use Information

Information obtained through the Pinterest API is used only to:

• authenticate and connect your Pinterest account;
• provide the analytics and research functionality requested by you;
• display your Pinterest account and content performance information;
• operate and maintain the App;
• respond to support and privacy requests.

We do not use Pinterest API information to:

• sell or rent personal information;
• create advertising profiles;
• provide advertising services;
• sell Pinterest data to third parties;
• provide unrelated services to third parties;
• use Pinterest account information for purposes unrelated to the functionality authorized by you.

5. Storage and Retention of Pinterest Data

Pintera does not maintain a separate server-side database of Pinterest API analytics or other Pinterest-derived information.

Pinterest API information is requested from Pinterest when necessary to provide the requested functionality and is displayed within the App.

We do not intentionally retain Pinterest API analytics or other Pinterest-derived information on our servers.

OAuth access tokens and extension settings used by the current experimental version are stored locally in the browser and remain there until you disconnect the account, clear the extension data, or uninstall the extension.

Pintera does not sell or share Pinterest API information with third parties.

6. Information Stored by Pintera

The current experimental version is designed to minimize server-side storage of Pinterest information.

Information that may be stored locally in the browser includes:

• Pinterest OAuth access tokens;
• extension settings;
• other technical information required for the extension to operate.

If future versions introduce application-specific features that require server-side storage, such as user-created collections or saved application settings, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe the relevant data practices before those features are introduced.

7. Third-Party Services

Pinterest

Pintera uses the official Pinterest API for authentication and access to Pinterest data.

Pinterest independently processes information in accordance with its own privacy practices and policies.

Google Chrome

Pintera operates as a Chrome extension and uses Chrome's extension platform and local browser storage.

8. Data Sharing

Pintera does not sell Pinterest API information or personal information.

We do not share Pinterest API information with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties for their own purposes.

Information may be disclosed if required by applicable law, legal process, or a valid governmental request.

Technical service providers may be used to operate the Pintera website and application infrastructure. Such providers are used only as necessary to operate the service and are not authorized to use Pinterest API information for their own purposes.

9. Your Choices

You can:

• disconnect your Pinterest account from Pintera;
• clear locally stored extension data;
• uninstall the Pintera Chrome extension;
• revoke Pintera's authorization through your Pinterest account settings;
• contact us with questions or privacy requests.

To revoke access, you may also use the account and application authorization controls provided by Pinterest.

10. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect information processed by Pintera.

OAuth access tokens are treated as confidential credentials and are not intentionally exposed to third parties.

No method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Children's Privacy

Pintera is not directed to children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
